Welcome to Koombana Bay Sailing Club

Located on Anchorage Cove, Bunbury Western Australia, KBSC is the centre of sailing in the south west. The main focus of the club is the promotion and encouragement of the sport of yachting generally. Saturday is the club's race day with most races beginning at 2:00pm, however there are exceptions so please check the event calendar. Fleets raced are Cruisers A, Cruisers B, Division IV, Catamarans, and Junior Dinghys.

There are also many social activities centred around the Club rooms. Twilight sailing is on Wednesday evenings with the start at 6:00pm, and is a more light hearted competition with the opportunity for non-sailors or newcomers to have a go.

Sailing; truly a recreation for everyone. Any person from eight to eighty and beyond, rich or poor, fit or otherwise can participate in this sport at whatever level suits their circumstances. At KBSC we have the very best of facilities combined with a friendly atmosphere to ensure that everybody gets the most enjoyment possible from this fine sport.
We provide training for novices, both junior and adult to a level of proficiency where any person can fill a crew position or even feel confident enough to buy their own boat. Cost can be tailored to suit any pocket from the millionaire with his own racing maxi, through small family cruising keel yachts and high performance centreboard dinghies to junior training boats.
For those who choose to sail as crew, the cost can be less than a third that of most golf clubs, while boat owners' costs can start from only a few hundred dollars. Whatever your preference, a place can be found for you in the KBSC.

Along with excellent sailing conditions, we can offer modern facilities including extensive bar and entertainment areas, ample boat storage, grassed lawns and rigging areas and a visual locale unsurpassed in Bunbury. Just invite your friends down for a quiet drink at the club on a warm summer evening with the moonlight on the water and you will see what we mean! A full programme of both racing and social sailing as well as our shore based social activities can mean a completely new lifestyle for you. A popular social sailing feature is our Wednesday night twilight races which always attract big fleets and many newcomers to the sport.
